Motorcycle touring The Road of Death, on the eastern side of the Bolivian Andes called the Yungas on the way to Coroico. This 88 kilometer long road was cut by prisoners of the Chaco war in the 1030's and used to be the main road linking the Andes to the Amazon basin in Bolivia. It has now been supplanted by a modern two-lane paved road across the spine of the Andes on the other side of the deep valleys.
